Ched Tolliver is a multi-faceted composer and musician. He was born into a very musical family. His mother a dance teacher, his father a jazz musician, and a composer. His grand-parents were symphonic musicians with various symphonies namely the LAPhil, SFO and Seattle Symphony. He attended LaGuardia HS for Music and Art and college at The New School for Contemporary Music and Jazz. He started working professionally as a guitar player, performing with rock and folk acoustic bands in the New York area in his teens and 20’s. Ched later worked as guitarist for Robi Draco Rosa (Ricki Martin’s producer/songwriter) for 10 yrs alongside bandmates and accomplished musicians Rusty Anderson (Paul McCartney), Frank Ferrer (Guns n Roses) and Jon Button (The Who).

Ched eventually moved to Los Angeles after working there for several yrs to pursue his dream of becoming a film composer. He studied with renowned pianist and Pacific Chamber Ensemble and Martha’s Vineyard Music Society Music Director, Delores Stevens. And currently, he is studying with acclaimed Music Director of the award-winning Malibu Coast Chamber Orchestra (MCCO), Scott Hosfeld. Ched’s scope of film writing ranges from drama, thriller, comedy/romance, electronic/ambient, fantasy, action etc… to songwriting in theatrical, musical rock, pop, or folk genre. His most recent works include the film score to California Love, String Phone, Nof1, and the award-winning VR experience, The Hidden. Ched also scored the indie romantic comedy Brand New Old Love, The Bronx Bull, the documentary Newman, and adapted and arranged music for  Bad Kids of Crestview High.
